Building Our Shed

Andries Burger

Our house on the farm was finished, but now we needed a shed for all our equipment, and Patric, who works for us, needed a place to stay on the farm.

We decided to make the bricks for the shed ourselves. The idea came when we found out our neighbour had a brick machine. He agreed to lend it to us, and so we started making our own bricks.

Our Kubota digger

Before starting on the shed, we bought a Kubota digger for the farm, one of the best investments we've made. With all the rock in the soil, digging the foundations by hand would not have been possible.
